About Us
Our unit portrays a typical Russian Rifle Regiment during "The Great Patriotic War". Our primary focus is the time period at the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-1943). However, we also participate in late war living history events and battle reenactments, as well as the Soviet/Finnish "Winter War" (1939-1940). Our goal is to educate ourselves and the public about the role of the Red Army and its soldiers in the Second World War. The 95th Rifles Division is based in central Indiana. From Lt Pavlov:------------------------------------------------ --- I am voluntarily stepping down from the elected position of unit CO. This was a tough decision but I think a sound one. I am playing drums for a band in the Indianapolis area that has shows nearly every weekend making it difficult to attend most events. After a discussion with the unit council I am demoting myself to SGT to further serve the unit. The 95th is an excellent unit to lead and it was my pleasure to do so. Terry will be an outstanding leader for this unit and I look forward serving the Motherland under his command. --DURAK! For those who were not at the Yankee Airshow, we learned to play Durak. A fun game and perfect camp activity. I found a downloadable version to play at home on your PC. Click to download.
